As the weather gets warmer and things start to get a little greener I know that it’s getting to be a great time for photo sessions. I’m so glad Bethany and Jonathan were willing to model for me!
Next month (June) marks my 5 years of business in the sense of creating a “professional Facebook page” after practicing like crazy with a camera for a couple years. I have learned so much in the past 5 years! The greatest amount of learning was in the two years of schooling at NAIT. It’s crazy to look back and think about why I even wanted to be a photographer. I remember taking a photo of one of my friends who had a lot of insecurities (I thought she was absolutely gorgeous inside and out) and she told me she felt beautiful. I felt a sense of accomplishment and like I was high on life. I had succeeded in making someone else feel good about themselves! From there, I was hooked. My clients can tell you that I still get excited after taking an image, being elated that I am able to create this art, this insecurity crushing, beautiful art. Now, making others feel good about themselves is just one part of why I love photography.
